Center For Talented Youth（CTY美国天才少年中心），是由约翰霍普金斯大学建议的非盈利性安排，致力于在全球范围内鉴别优质天才并培育学术先进的大学预科生。在鼓舞儿童探究和开展特性的基础上，供给比一般美高更具挑战性的课程尤其是STEM理工方面，在人文和社科方面也供给了优质课程和时机供学生学习。全球有165，000余名校友，包含Facebook和Google创始人，再生元科学天才奖得主，罗德学者（罗德奖学金是一个世界级的奖学金，"全球本科生诺贝尔奖"之称的美誉，得奖者被称为罗德学者）和麦克阿瑟天才奖得主。

项目选课：

按年纪：2-6年级（细分2-4、5-6年级）、7-12年级；

按类别：人文学、写作、数学、科学四大类；

按课程：从前7年级以上的学术课程有29门分支课程，7年级以上强化课程有41门分支课程，5-6年级有29门分支课程，学生所学习的课程包含宏观经济、微观经济、写作和哲学、密码学、数学逻辑、博弈论、数学与钱银、计算机编程、机器人、火山活动、飞翔学、依据查看、地理、工程原理、高中生物、高中化学、物理、基因学、古生物学、晶体聚合体等，由顶尖大学教授教课。

想参与CTY天才夏令营要通过入门考试选拔优异者参与，二年级以上学生可选SCAT（School and College Ability Test），也可通过参与STB, PSAT, SAT with essay, ACT with essay考试代替。下面要点介绍下SCAT考试。

School and College Ability Test (SCAT)

Open to students in grades 2-8, the SCAT is typically a computer-based, timed, multiple-choice, quantitative and verbal assessment. With a short testing time and flexible scheduling, the SCAT is a convenient option for families looking to qualify for CTY programs on a deadline.

CTY uses three levels of the SCAT:

Students in grades 2-3 take the Elementary SCAT designed for students in grades 4-5.

Students in grades 4-5 take the Intermediate SCAT designed for students in grades 6-8.

Students in grades 6 and above take the Advanced SCAT designed for students in grades 9-12.

Because this is an above-grade-level test, after the test, you'll receive information that shows how your child's score compares to that of students in the higher grades for whom the test questions were originally designed.

SCAT Scaled Scores range from 401 to 514 depending on the level the student takes. Here are the ranges:

Elementary Level

Verbal Range = 401-471

Quantitative Range = 412-475

Intermediate Level

Verbal Range = 405-482

Quantitative Range = 419-506

Advanced Level

Verbal Range = 410-494

Quantitative Range = 424-514

Register to Test

You must first register with CTY to obtain an eligibility number before you can register to test at a Prometric test center. If you are a student in grades 2-8 and have already applied to the current academic year Talent Search, you are eligible to take the SCAT.

Students who select the SCATmust test on or before June 30, 2020 and can choose a date, time, and location convenient for them.

学生首先要递送CTY请求取得请求号今后方能注册SCAT考试，世界生CTY请求费58美金。SCAT最晚考试日期是2020年6月30日。现在我国区在北京，上海和香港建立考点。考试日期和地址如下：

SCAT书面考试费用： 天才查找费58美金+SCAT考试费120美金，合计178美金。

留意⚠️：SCAT机考根本每周都有考试，国内大部分城市都有考点。

报考流程：CTY的官网（www.cty.jhu.edu）注册请求参与“Talent Search”并付出报名费获取一个9位的代码，CTY会发来邮件承认报名成功，并分配参与SCAT考试的9位数考号（SCAT Eligibility Number），还会分配一个账户（学生号，Student ID），别的官网上也有SCAT考试的样题。
